Since its founding in 1987, the Japan Operative Nurses Academy (JONA) has consistently been involved in the education and training of nurses specializing in operative nursing in efforts to improve the quality of nursing and the establishment of specialization in that area. For the betterment of the health of people and their quality of life, JONA today continues to strive to deepen research based on practice, enhance the quality of operating theater nurses and broaden their role in their profession, and promote various business activities.
The JONA logo was designed by Fumiki Kajino in 1997. In the center are hearts symbolizing that surgery is an activity which directly involves people’s lives, and converging at the center are crossroads which express the idea of people with the same purpose coming together. We are eager for people to understand the meaning of our logo and hope that they will cherish it in the same way as we do.
